We are seeking an enthusiastic, dependable, and engaging LEGO Lab Assistant to help support our LEGO Robotics and STEM classes for students ages 3–14. This part-time role is perfect for someone who loves working with children, enjoys hands-on learning, and is passionate about inspiring the next generation of engineers, builders, and problem-solvers.

This position is ideal for retired teachers, paraprofessionals, homeschool educators, college students pursuing education, or anyone with experience working with children in a structured learning environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist lead instructors in teaching LEGO Robotics and STEM-based classes

  • Support students as they build, program, and complete hands-on projects

  • Encourage creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving

  • Help manage classroom flow and maintain a positive learning environment

  • Provide age-appropriate guidance for students ages 3–14

  • Assist with classroom setup, organization, and cleanup

  • Ensure a safe, supportive, and engaging atmosphere for all students

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children (required)

  • Background in education strongly preferred (retired teachers encouraged to apply)

  • Patient, positive, and energetic personality

  • Comfortable guiding both preschool and middle school students

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to stand, move around, and engage actively during classes

Schedule and Pay 

  • Part-time position

  • 2–20 hours per week depending on availability and class schedule

  • Weekday afternoons, evenings, and/or weekend classes       

  • $25 per hour

Training Provided

  • Instruction and hands-on training in LEGO Robotics systems

  • Training in additional STEM learning products and curriculum

  • Classroom management expectations and teaching support techniques

No prior LEGO Robotics experience is required — we will train the right person.
