STEM City Now Offering Homeschool STEM Classes (Ages 6–10)

Updated: Feb 24

We are excited to announce that STEM City will now be offering homeschool STEM classes for students ages 6–10!

Our first homeschool session will run:

📅 Tuesdays, April 7th – May 19th ( OFF on May 5th)

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM

This hands-on program is designed to give homeschool learners a fun, social, and engaging environment where they can explore engineering, robotics, coding, and creative problem-solving alongside peers.

Each week, students will build confidence while developing real STEM skills through guided projects, collaboration, and playful experimentation.

What Students Will Learn

During this 6-week session, students will:

  • Explore basic robotics and engineering concepts

  • Build and program interactive LEGO creations

  • Practice teamwork and communication

  • Strengthen problem-solving and critical thinking skills

  • Develop confidence using technology and coding tools

Our homeschool classes are intentionally designed to balance structured learning with creativity and exploration, helping students stay curious and motivated.

About LEGO® Education SPIKE™ Essential

Our homeschool program will utilize the LEGO Education SPIKE Essential Set, a hands-on robotics and coding solution created specifically for elementary learners.

SPIKE Essential combines traditional LEGO building with motors, sensors, and an intuitive coding app to help students bring their ideas to life. The program uses playful, story-based challenges that encourage students to brainstorm solutions, test ideas, and improve their designs through trial and error. Lessons are built around relatable themes and collaborative activities that promote creativity, engineering thinking, and social-emotional growth while students design and program interactive models.

The curriculum includes dozens of guided lessons with math and language extensions, giving students opportunities to strengthen both technical and academic skills while learning through play.

A Supportive Learning Community for Homeschool Families

At STEM City, we believe homeschool students benefit greatly from collaborative learning experiences where they can connect with peers, share ideas, and tackle challenges together.

Our homeschool STEM classes provide:

  • A welcoming social environment

  • Hands-on learning that complements homeschool curriculum

  • Opportunities to build confidence with technology

  • Meaningful STEM skill development through play

We are thrilled to support homeschool families in our community and can’t wait to learn, build, and create together this spring.

Spots will be limited to maintain a small, supportive class environment.
